Local Trucks for the Wet Mountain Foothills
Out here, the hard part isn't finding a dumpster online. It's finding a company that'll actually show up. We're based just up the road in Fremont County, about 20 miles from Wetmore through Florence. You get the same crew, the same boxes, and the same straight answers we give customers in Cañon City.
When you're clearing out a property, remodeling, or cleaning up after a ranch project around Wetmore, getting rid of the debris is the hard part. Hauling it yourself means trip after trip with a trailer. Our roll-off dumpsters come to your site instead. With flexible rental periods, drivers who know CO-67 and CO-96, and drop-off and pickup that fit your schedule, we keep waste removal simple so you can focus on the job. Everything we haul goes to licensed disposal facilities.
Wetmore sits at about 6,100 feet in Custer County, at the junction of CO-67 and CO-96 and the mouth of Hardscrabble Canyon, about 11 miles south of Florence. The area's history starts with Hardscrabble, a trading post founded in 1844, and John C. Frémont passed through in 1848. By 1873, stagecoaches ran up the Hardscrabble Canyon road to the Rosita silver district, crossing the creek more than 20 times. Around 1880, William H. Wetmore offered free lots to settlers who would build here if the town took his name, and a post office opened in 1881. By 1884 Wetmore had stores, a hotel, a school, a flour mill and two blacksmiths, and ranching has anchored the community ever since.
